SUNDAY FORUM for September 29: Sharing Your Story- Because of our summer theme of Story and our current opportunity to participate in the Storytelling Workshop, we will embrace the power of stories about our own faith journeys during the forum hour this Sunday, Sept. 29, and next Sunday, Oct. 6. These two hours will provide opportunity for you to think, share, and learn, as attendees talk in small groups about a variety of prompts. Come ready to listen, grow in community with others, and embrace the beauty of your story. ALL are welcome to attend - whether you are a regular attender of forums or have never attended one before. See you in the Sanctuary this Sunday at 9:45 a.m.

ELDER JUSTICE…IN THE FORM OF MEALS: Did you know the vast majority of local Meals on Wheels clients are elders? Offering meals that help seniors remain independently in their homes is one form of elder justice. Help make this possible for your neighbors by delivering meals on Friday, October 4th at 11am around Edina. Email ECLCer Sarah I. to sign up.

KINDERGARTNER MILESTONE-OCT 6: A Place for Kindergartners is a NEW faith milestone at ECLC that will help your child learn about the sacrament of Holy Communion. Maybe your child is already receiving this sacrament. Maybe your child currently receives a blessing. Either way, there is a place for your child at the table on Sunday, October 6! Worship at 8:30 & 11 am. Interactive learning during Sunday School, from 9:45-10:45 am. An adult should accompany each child/youth on this milestone day for kindergartners and their families.

ECLC AT THE PENUMBRA THEATER PIPELINE at the Penumbra Theater. A look at the intersection of racism and education. ECLC will attend the October 25, 7:30 performance. Depending on how many order tickets, the price will be $32-$40 per ticket. Make reservations by October 6 through Doris P.

DO YOU HEAR WHAT I HEAR? If you're in the Fellowship Hall, the answer's probably "NO!" That's why a new Acoustics Task Force is being formed to address the many acoustical challenges in this vital ministry space. After identifying, exploring, and evaluating potential solutions, the group will present a remediation recommendation to the Council of Ministers. If you'd like to help with this project, please contact Kristian C.

REFUGEE FAMILIES TO WELCOME: Several new families arrived in MN through Lutheran Social Service this summer and are seeking mentors to help them acclimate to life in Minnesota and practice English. In particular, two seamstresses from Syria in Fridley hope to connect with other seamstresses and a family with high school youth hope in St. Paul to connect with another high school family. This is a flexible, relationship-based opportunity to welcome the stranger. Interested? Email Margaret Yapp at LSS at Margaret.yapp@lssmn.org
